Modular Bank Building - Frequently Asked Questions

What is a "modular bank building" and what can it do for me?
A modular bank building is a structural unit that provides unlimited solutions to construction problems. Each unit is built within a factory controlled environment and is completely self-contained with floor trusses, walls, windows, heating/cooling, plumbing, electrical wiring and interior finishes. Units can vary with length and width. They can be joined end-to-end or side-by-side. They can even be stacked. After the building is set, the only site work is the utility connections. However, with the combined use of modular units and on-site construction, we can design you an exterior image that will suit you in what you want to project into the community. For example, we can give you a full brick exterior, a hip roof, a 4-lane canopy, and a full basement. When the modular building is complete, it will appear to have been traditionally built.

Is a "modular building" the same as a "mobile home"?
The only connection between a 'mobile home' and our modular bank buildings is that they are both built within a factory controlled environment and shipped to the project site. A 'mobile home' is only designed for a residential purpose and built to the federal HUD code. A 'mobile home' is transported from state to state with a steel i-beam frame which is used as an under-carriage or transporting chassis. After arriving at an approved home site, typically a rural area or a mobile home park, the hitch is detached and the 'mobile home' is setup with concrete blocks and skirting.

However, our 'modular bank building' is designed and built according to the Uniform Building Code, the same stringent building code standards used for traditional construction. Depending on where the building is installed, your local and state agencies will regulate and perform the plan approvals and construction inspections. A modular building is built more traditionally and without an undercarriage or transporting chassis. However they are shipped on large specialized carrier, which allows the modular bank to be set on a concrete stem-wall or over a full basement.

How much time can I save going with a modular bank instead of stick built?
The time depends on a number of conditions such as the amount of time needed for the planning and design, the plan approval (local and state), and the building of your facility. Yet the time you will save is dramatic, because while your modular bank building is manufactured in a controlled factory environment, our job site coordinator, or contractor of your choice can begin the site preparation. Besides saving time, you are also saving money, because time is money.

How much money can I save going with a modular bank instead of stick built?
Compared to stick-built, the money you will save is very significant because of the factories using the assembly line method with specialized work crews. The need to buy and store the materials is reduced and weather delays causing labor downtime and waste of materials are eliminated.
